What skills and experience we're looking for
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and develop the school’s IT resources for safe and effective use by pupils and staff.
- Support and advise pupils and staff in appropriate IT use.
- Provide first and second level technical support for IT, telecoms, and AV equipment.
- Install new IT equipment, operating systems, and software as directed.
- Maintain network access rights, including creating and disabling user accounts.
- Perform routine and non-routine checks, maintenance, and fault investigation.
- Assist with IT equipment for assemblies, meetings, and presentations.
- Prepare IT equipment for events, occasionally outside regular hours.
- Maintain and repair IT equipment, liaising with third-party services as needed.
- Diagnose and resolve workstation OS and software issues.
- Assist with backup routines.
- Ensure safe storage and disposal of equipment and materials.
- Maintain stock records and asset register for IT equipment.
- Update the IT knowledge base on SharePoint.
- Assist teaching staff and undertake other duties as required.
- Support classroom IT needs, including equipment bookings and delivery.
- Assist with maintenance and installation of CCTV and access control systems.
- Work within Data Protection and GDPR requirements.
- Assist with staff IT training.
- Support school exams involving IT resources.
