Are you passionate about technology and ready to make a real difference in education? We're looking for a dedicated and proactive IT Technician to join our supportive team at a vibrant secondary school in Chorley.
As our new IT Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the school's ICT systems. From troubleshooting hardware and software issues to maintaining network infrastructure and supporting classroom technology, your expertise will help ensure a seamless digital environment for both staff and students.
This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, starting from 6th October 2025, with the potential to become a long-term position for the right candidate.
Provide technical support across the school, responding to IT helpdesk requests
Set up, maintain, and repair computers, projectors, interactive whiteboards, and printers
Monitor and maintain network and server infrastructure
Support staff and students in the effective use of ICT equipment
Assist with routine maintenance, updates, and software installations
Experience in an IT support role, ideally within an educational environment
Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Office 365, and basic networking
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
