IT Technician - Secondary School (Bramhall)
Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Permanent Position | Salary: £22,000 - £26,000 (depending on experience)
An Ofsted-rated 'Good' secondary school in Bramhall is seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Technician to join its support staff team from September 2025.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to play a key role in maintaining and developing the school's IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth daily operations and providing high-quality support to staff and students.
Provide first-line technical support to students and staff across the school
Maintain and troubleshoot hardware including PCs, laptops, printers, and interactive whiteboards
Support with the management of software, networks, and classroom technologies
Assist in setting up and maintaining user accounts, emails, and access permissions
Ensure all IT systems are safe, secure, and compliant with school policies
Liaise with external providers and escalate issues when necessary
Previous experience in a similar IT support role (education sector desirable but not essential)
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and general network administration
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
A proactive, calm and reliable team player with attention to detail
Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving school technology needs
Relevant IT qualifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft certs, or Level 3 ICT) are a plus
