Location: South Edinburgh - On-site. Salary: to £45,000 (DOE). Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent. Start Date: 1 month notice period or less required.

We're working with a well-established and forward-thinking organisation seeking an experienced IT Team Lead to join their team. The business operates within a Microsoft-centric environment and is continuously evolving its bespoke systems and services. You'll be stepping into a leadership role with hands-on responsibilities, guiding two skilled IT operatives and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a small IT team
• Provide 1st and 2nd line support across the organisation
• Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 systems
• Support authentication systems, ideally with Azure experience
• Prioritise workloads and delegate tasks effectively
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure IT systems meet business needs
• Contribute to the development and improvement of bespoke software and services
• Maintain documentation and ensure best practices are followed

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an MSP or similar IT support environment
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and general Microsoft infrastructure
• Familiarity with Azure Active Directory and authentication protocols
• Solid understanding of IT systems, networking fundamentals, and system administration
• Basic understanding of firewalls and IT security principles
• Comfortable with scripting or programming concepts (beneficial but not essential)
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A proactive approach with the ability to lead by example
• Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role
• Exposure to bespoke or custom-built software systems
• Understanding of ITIL or similar frameworks
