Computer Science Teacher – Newton Abbot

Teaching Personnel is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to work in one of our partner secondary schools in the Newton Abbot area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about digital literacy, coding, and preparing students for the evolving world of technology.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and challenging Computer Science lessons to students at Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable).
  • Teach a variety of topics including programming, algorithms, networks, and data representation.
  • Encourage independent thinking, problem-solving, and creativity in the classroom.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, offering support where needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote STEM and computing across the school.
Minimum Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Subject specialism in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the Computer Science curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A passion for teaching and inspiring students in the world of tech.
