An established Defence & Aerospace company is looking for an IT Systems Engineer in Milton Keynes. In this role, you will optimize systems and processes, ensuring reliable infrastructure management. The position allows for a hybrid model, requiring on-site presence four days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience with Networking, Active Directory, Servers, and End Points.
• Knowledge of virtualisation tools (VMWare / Hyper-V) preferred.
• Experience with Azure, M365, and Palo Alto firewalls is advantageous.

Responsibilities

A new opportunity has arisen for an IT Systems Engineer to join an established Defence & Aerospace company in Buckinghamshire and play a significant role in optimising processes and management practices as well as ensuring that relevant infrastructure and systems are reliable and secure.

The Role

As a key member of the IT Team, the IT Systems Engineer will be responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of infrastructure and systems, will help resolve technical incidents, orchestrate changes to relevant systems in line with change control processes and maintain IT documentation as changes and enhancements are made.

Skills

This role requires an experienced IT Systems Engineer who is able to work as part of a team, has excellent communication skills and possesses the motivation to drive improvements in systems.

A broad background is sought across Networking, Active Directory, Servers and End Points along with knowledge of virtualisation tools (VMWare / Hyper-V). Experience with Azure deployments, M365 services and Edge-firewalls (Palo Alto) would be highly advantageous.

SC Clearance is required for this role.

Location

This role will be 4 days per week on site in Marlow with Fridays working from home.
