Working Hours

Normal hours of work are Monday to Friday. The postholder is required to work such hours as are necessary to perform the role satisfactorily.

Responsibilities
Overview

Work in a small team supporting local manufacturing sites with accountability to the global organization to deliver policy and compliance. High expectations in a challenging, process-driven environment. Contribute to team objectives, deliver as an individual and part of the team, support the company's "ever green" strategy, and assist with internal audits.

Main Purpose of Job
  • Developer

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer and Report Writer responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications to meet user needs and business goals. Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to deliver quality code and improve development practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
  • Contribute to code reviews and maintain coding standards.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#.NET, VB.NET, JavaScript, or similar, and experience with business reporting tools like Crystal Reports.
  • Familiarity with frameworks and tools like .NET.
  • Understanding of databases and data structures, especially SQL.
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as Surround.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
User Support
  • Assist in setting up new user accounts and provide orientation on computer systems and software applications.
  • Maintain knowledge of IT support tools, technologies, and procedures within the organization.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries regarding system problems or service requests via phone or tickets.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow ticketing system is preferred.
Essential Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with customers, support teams, and management.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows and Office 365.
Desirable Skills
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with IT in manufacturing environments.
Reporting

Supportive role to the IS Manager.

Qualifications
Experience and Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
