Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous experience in systems administration or a similar IT support role.
• Practical knowledge of Windows environments; Linux experience is an advantage.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID.
• Understanding of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
• VPNs, firewalls and Wi‑Fi networks.
• Experience with backup solutions, endpoint security and access management.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain servers, operating systems, networks and cloud services.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions and employee onboarding, role changes and departures.
• Configure and support laptops, desktops, printers and other office equipment.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot hardware, software and network connectivity issues.
• Administer Microsoft 365 or equivalent workplace platforms.
• Monitor system performance, availability and security, investigating and resolving incidents.
• Manage software updates, security patches, endpoint protection and multi‑factor authentication.
• Maintain backups, test data restoration and support disaster recovery planning.
• Keep IT documentation, asset inventories and software licence records accurate and up to date.
• Coordinate with external IT suppliers and service providers.
