Job Description:

Estio Training is thrilled to offer a new opportunity for an IT Support Technician Apprentice with Apprico, an IT Managed Service Provider based in Dartford, Kent.

Role Summary:

As an IT Support Technician, you will play a key role in supporting our clients with their IT systems, ensuring high-quality service delivery and troubleshooting any technical issues. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in IT, with plenty of opportunities for growth and development in the field of IT support and managed services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st level IT support for clients via phone, email, and remote desktop tools.
  • Assist with troubleshooting hardware and software issues on Windows and macOS systems.
  • Install, configure, and support various IT systems, including hardware and software.
  • Work on the ticketing system, logging and managing service requests and incidents.
  • Monitor and maintain client systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts, access rights, licenses, and email systems.
  • Perform network administration tasks, including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and printer setup.
  • Assist with printer installations, setup, and upgrades.
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards, ensuring client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirements: 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent, including English Language and Maths.

Skills Required:

  • Basic understanding of IT hardware and software (desktops, laptops, printers, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office 365.
  • The ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.

Personal Qualities:

  • Self-starter, motivated, punctual, ambitious.
  • A willingness to learn new technologies and take on additional responsibilities.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a strong team player.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen interest in IT support.
