IT Support Technician Apprentice

Location: Ellesmere Port

Are you passionate about IT and looking for an exciting opportunity to build your career in a supportive, dynamic environment? Bagnalls, with over 150 years of industry expertise, is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Technician Apprentice to join our friendly and supportive team based at our North West Office in Ellesmere Port.

The Role

As an IT Support Technician Apprentice, you’ll have the chance to gain hands-on experience while working alongside industry professionals. You’ll be responsible for providing first-line IT support, assisting with hardware and software configurations, and ensuring smooth IT operations across the business. As part of your apprenticeship, you’ll undertake an Information Communications Technical – Level 3 course, with full training and support provided.

Your Responsibilities

IT Support

  1. Provide first-line IT support and escalate issues when necessary
  2. Monitor, prioritise, and log support tickets
  3. Offer remote assistance to users when required
  4. Handle hardware faults and provide solutions
Hardware Support

  1. Set up and configure loan equipment, desk phones, smartphones, printers, and other ICT devices
  2. Manage asset tracking for all hardware across the business
Software Support

  1. Ensure the smooth operation of Microsoft 365 and other business-critical software
  2. Support additional software as required by the business
Branch Support

  1. Install and troubleshoot new equipment at branches
  2. Resolve branch IT issues remotely or on-site
ICT Projects & Documentation

  1. Assist with ICT projects across the business
  2. Maintain up-to-date IT documentation
