IT Technician - 1st Line Support
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented 1st Line Support Technician to join our IT team. As a 1st Line Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users, troubleshooting software and hardware issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. This is a part-time position, working three days per week, with schedule flexibility to be discussed during the interview. The role is based near our Head Office in Teddington.
IT Technician: The Role
- Part-time position (3 days per week)
- Head office-based role
- Respond to help desk tickets and provide timely technical support to the sites
- Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications
- Assist with user account management
- Collaborate with other IT team members to troubleshoot complex problems
- Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating technical solutions to non-technical users
- Document all support activities and resolutions in the ticketing system
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates and backups
- Assist with computer networking tasks, including troubleshooting connectivity issues
- Analyze computer hardware problems and recommend appropriate solutions
- Assist in EPOS system configuration and maintenance
IT Technician: The Ideal Candidate
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, Chrome OS, etc.)
- Knowledge of Google Workspace is an advantage
- Basic understanding of computer networking concepts
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze issues and provide effective solutions
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
