Job summary

A progressive environmental services company is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide technical assistance to teams. The successful candidate will support both office and remote users, assisting with system maintenance, troubleshooting, and hardware/software issues. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and at least 2 years of front-facing IT Support experience. Strong communication skills and proficiency in Google G-Suite, Microsoft Office, and Windows OS are required.

  • 2 years IT Support experience for a minimum of 50+ users.
  • Strong computer skills are required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

SMS Environmental Ltd is looking for a qualified IT Support Technician to join our team. The Technician will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our office-based and remote workforces. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and will be able to provide quality service in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality service to colleagues by offering technical support on all aspects of their computer systems
  • Provide assistance with hardware and software installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting
  • Maintain an organised and efficient work space
  • Communicate with Operational departments and teams to ensure end-user satisfaction
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Complete daily task lists, documentation, and other administrative tasks as assigned by management
  • Work in a safe manner at all times according to company and industry standards
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in related field OR equivalent experience
  • 2 years IT Support front facing experience to a minimum of 50+ users, both desktop
  • and remote
  • Strong computer skills including Google G-Suite of software, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Windows OS
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal) required; written and verbal communication skills required; intermediate to advanced level computer skills preferred
  • End-user training an advantage
