IT Support Technician

Are you passionate about technology and enjoy helping people resolve technical issues? We're looking for a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Technician to join our clients growing team.

In this on-site role, you'll be the first point of contact for all IT-related queries, providing efficient and friendly 1st Line support to end users. You'll also have the opportunity to get hands-on with 2nd Line issues, making this an excellent role for someone looking to broaden their technical experience and grow within the IT field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for users via phone, email, and in person
  • Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of hardware, software, and network issues
  • Log, manage, and track support tickets through our helpdesk system
  • Escalate more complex issues to 2nd Line support when required
  • Set up and configure new laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and user accounts
  • Support office equipment such as printers, scanners, and VoIP phones
  • Assist with system updates, patches, and IT asset management
  • Maintain accurate documentation of processes and procedures

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a 1st Line IT Support role (minimum 1 year preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and common hardware
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A logical, methodical approach to problem-solving
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges, including some 2nd Line tasks
  • Ability to work independently on-site and collaborate with remote IT team members

Desirable Skills:

  • Exposure to Active Directory, Azure, or basic networking
  • Experience supporting cloud-based systems and remote users
  • IT qualifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, or Microsoft certifications (a plus)
