About The Role IT Support Technician Locations: Cardington Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week) Contract Type – Permanent, Full time Salary - £28,000 to £32,000 About Restore Technology Restore Technology is a leading provider of IT lifecycle services in the UK, offering comprehensive solutions for businesses to manage their IT assets securely and sustainably. Our services include IT recycling and disposal, data sanitisation, IT asset recovery, and on-site and off-site data destruction. About the Role The Restore Technology IT Team is seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Technician to join us at either or site in Cardington. You will be the first point of contact for IT support requests, providing effective technical assistance and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Your role will involve diagnosing and resolving technical issues, escalating complex cases, and supporting the day-to-day IT operations of the organisation. This is a role that will be based at our Cardington depot, and there will be a requirement to travel to our other regional depots from time to time.

This is a fantastic opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working on a variety of tasks from troubleshooting technical issues to supporting IT improvement projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

Respond to and resolve technical support requests via phone, email, or ticketing systems Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues Configure and deploy workstations, printers, and other peripherals Assist with user account creation, password resets, and access permissions within Restore Technology production systems Install, update, and provide support for common business applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, email clients) Perform basic troubleshooting of network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi and LAN connections Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and IT assets Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support or external providers when necessary Assist with IT projects aimed at improving systems and processes across the businessAbout You

Familiarity with Windows operating systems, basic networking concepts, and common business applications Experience in an IT support role or related field Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritise workload GCSEs or equivalent; relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Fundamentals) are a plus UK driving licence and ability to travel is required to provide support to our regional depotsWhat We Offer You: Restore offers a wide range of benefits to our employees such as:
