A school located in Bexhill-on-Sea is looking for an IT support technician to provide technical support and maintenance of IT systems. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network faults, helping to create a positive learning environment for students. The successful candidate will work part-time during term time and should possess significant IT skills.

St Mary’s is a residential special school and college for pupils / students aged 5 to 19 with speech, language and communication needs, learning difficulties and other associated SEND.
We are seeking to recruit an IT support technician, to support the IT function, including technical, software and hardware support across the school site, in partnership with the Trust IT support provider.
Our IT support technician will be responsible for the upkeep and good order of IT hardware, development of staff knowledge and skill in using ICT resources, identifying and remedying software, hardware and network faults. The technician will also undertake regular checks and perform basic maintenance on all school’s assets.
The IT support technician needs to have significant IT skills for the support and installation of computer hardware, network operating systems, software, printers and other peripheral equipment. They will be able to use their own initiative and resolve most faults independently.
The successful applicant will work 27.5 hours per week, 8 am – 1.30 pm, during term time only, from September 2025.
