IT Service Catalogue & Procurement Assistant

Location: Ipswich (on-site, 5 days per week)

Contract: 12 months

Hours: 25 hours per week (ideally 9am-2pm, Monday to Friday)

Rate: £18.92/hour Umbrella

IR35: Inside IR35

Start date: Early September

About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised IT Service Catalogue & Procurement Assistant to join an established IT Operations team. This is a part-time role based on-site in Ipswich, supporting the smooth delivery of IT goods and services across the organisation.

You will play a key part in managing the IT Service Catalogue – the list of standard equipment and repeatable IT services available to staff – and supporting colleagues with procurement processes. Your work will help ensure that staff have the right technology in place to deliver excellent services.

What you’ll be doing

  • Administer and update the IT Service Catalogue, ensuring information is accurate and up to date
  • Provide equipment and peripherals to staff in line with agreed processes
  • Monitor stock levels and liaise with colleagues to ensure availability
  • Handle standard and non-standard service requests, following the correct processes
  • Support IT colleagues with procurement requests, including raising purchase orders
  • Publish pricing information for schools and related services each month
  • Track the progress of IT requests and follow up where needed
  • Assist with the delivery of minor IT projects and service improvements

What we’re looking for

  • GCSE-level education or equivalent (NVQ2 in ICT or similar experience)
  • Experience in an IT or professional office environment
  • Knowledge of IT systems and good understanding of customer service principles
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Organised, proactive and able to prioritise work effectively
