Overview

IT Support Officer – Kibworth (Leicestershire) based – with occasional on-call duties. Temporary to Permanent. Monday to Friday – 38hrs (between 6am - 6pm) must be flexible. Up to £15.00 an hour (£29,640 depending on experience).

Our client, based in Kibworth, Leicestershire, is seeking an IT Support Officer. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT officer – training can be offered – who enjoys solving problems and working face-to-face with end users.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver on-site IT support for client users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly
  • Diagnose and repair problems across PCs, laptops, printers, and networked devices
  • Install, configure and maintain operating systems, applications, and peripherals
  • Escalate complex issues where appropriate and follow through to resolution
  • Maintain accurate records of issues, fixes and client requests
  • Provide on-call support on a rota basis, as required by the business
Minimum requirements
  • Some experience as an IT support or service desk role
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office and standard business applications
  • Good understanding of networks, printers, and basic cabling
  • Ability to work independently and manage time
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ideal candidate
  • IT qualifications (e.g. CompTIA, Microsoft Certified, or similar)
  • Experience supporting users in professional office environments
  • Confident troubleshooting under pressure and delivering practical solutions
  • Flexible and willing to take part in an on-call rota if required
