IT Support Engineer - Glasgow - £24-26K

An established client of ours in the Technology sector is looking for an IT Support Technician to join their internal IT department on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to users with day-to-day operational issues, installation maintenance, and support of hardware assets, and systems administration including vendor updates on all platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for telephone inquiries from contractual clients, logging tickets and gathering details about issues.
  • Triage incidents during calls to identify the root cause of issues and provide first-time fixes whenever possible.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, acting as the voice of the company.
  • Offer ongoing support with clear, concise verbal and written communication.
  • Log tickets in the support system and escalate issues to second and third-line support when necessary.
  • Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) for both phone and email support.
  • Manage and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Active Directory and O365 support.
  • Take a proactive approach to system alerts and daily tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and 11.
  • Full UK Drivers License.
