Job description

Based in Central London and founded in 1833, this group of companies is looking for a Support Engineer to join their Support Team.

The client

They have a strong emphasis on sustainability, people development, and performance. You will be supporting 150 employees and assisting in training an apprentice within your team.

What will you be doing?

This is a fairly standard Support role. You will deliver IT inductions to new employees, collaborate with third parties, and proactively manage onsite systems.

Documentation is currently being developed, so there will be opportunities to contribute. Your daily tasks will include handling support tickets via Teamworks and Freshdesk, with an aim to unify these systems.

Occasional travel to their Tunbridge Wells hub is required, so flexibility is necessary.

You will also be involved in training the apprentice; previous experience in training or mentoring would be highly advantageous.

The role
What experience do you need?

You should have at least 5 years of experience in Support. The role is heavily focused on Microsoft 365 and Azure; experience with these technologies is essential. Experience with Azure specifically will be a significant plus.

You should have worked with third-party vendors for services such as VoIP and mobile support, and ideally have familiarity with ticketing systems, though this is not mandatory. Effective stakeholder communication skills are important due to the collaborative nature of the role.

All systems are Windows-based; no Apple experience is required.
