A dynamic research organization in London is seeking an IT Support professional to provide first-line support for staff across multiple regions. This role requires proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office as well as an ability to work under pressure. Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
  • Experience of Microsoft Windows and Office package
  • Supporting a business network
  • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload
  • Would enjoy speaking to and dealing with staff at all levels of the business
  • Would enjoy working in a busy medium size business with offices in London, Hong Kong and the US.
  • 2 to 3 years of first-line support experience on the Windows platform.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • Front-line support – answering calls and emails from members of staff and providing initial guidance
  • Ensuring all issues raised are logged in the service desk, and end users receive regular updates on their support issues
  • Work with 3rd party suppliers on more complex problems before escalating to the System Administrator.
  • Maintain IT team documentation in coordination with the IT manager
  • Ensure all IT services in meeting rooms and pool equipment are tested regularly
  • Ensure all desks have fully functional IT equipment
  • Physical assembly of new computers and IT equipment, including network cabling
  • User induction and training on Microsoft and 3rd party products
  • The primary applications supported are
    • MS 365 Office suite
    • Office 365 Services such as SharePoint
    • Windows 10 and 11
    • Active Directory
    • Azure
    • MS Edge / Chrome
    • File Servers
    • Office 365 Exchange
    • Office 365 SharePoint
    • Office 365MS Teams
  • Basic printing support
  • First and second-line support for users in HK, Australia, India, the UK and the US.
  • Project-based in coordination with the Infrastructure Engineer and Head of IT.
  • Nice to have: Comptia A+, Network +. Windows or MS 365, CCNA qualifications.
