IT Support Engineer - 2nd & 3rd Line

Location: Lancaster Full-Time, On-Site (5 Days/Week)

Salary: GBP35,000 - GBP45,000

Chapman Tate Associates is proud to be working in partnership with a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) to recruit a skilled and motivated IT Support Engineer to join their dynamic technical team based in Lancaster.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate IT professional who thrives in a fast-paced MSP environment and is ready to take ownership of both 2nd and 3rd line support tasks. You'll be the go-to expert for resolving complex technical issues, supporting a diverse client base, and contributing to infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on 2nd and 3rd line support across a wide range of technologies

• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues efficiently and professionally

• Support and maintain client infrastructure including servers, networks, and cloud platforms

• Assist with project delivery, migrations, and system upgrades

• Liaise directly with clients to ensure high levels of service and satisfaction

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in an MSP or similar multi-client environment

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, and networking fundamentals

• Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), firewalls, and backup solutions

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges

• Strong communication and client-facing skills

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco) are a plus
