IT
Support Engineer Role Specification:

• Experience in understanding business needs in relation to IT.
• Support and management of the organisation’s user-based IT
  environment, both hardware and software.
• The operation of the IT Support Desk ensuring correct pathway to IT
  services.
• Support, management and maintenance of the organisations IT
  infrastructure and remote management of all sites IT installation
• Liaison with 3rd party suppliers and service providers ensuring
  service levels are maintained.
• Advising users of best use of IT facilities
• Adherence to security best practices to ensure the security of the
  organisation’s data and property

IT
Support Engineer Person Specification:

• Relevant experience in IT, supporting desktop
  computing and its associated environments.
• A proven understanding of the need for customer
  service, providing exemplary response and ownership of issues raised throughout
  the lifecycle of an incident or problem.
• Requires a sound applied and theoretical knowledge
  of Microsoft operating systems.
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Active
  Directory.
• A good working knowledge of server technologies
  VMWare, Exchange and SQL.
• Sound working knowledge of TCP/IP and internet
  technologies.
• Highly motivated self-starter, able to work on own
  initiative.
• A full driving license and ability to use own car
  for business purposes.
• Previous experience of IT in a retail or
  hospitality environment & an understanding of the Data Protection Act and
  PCIDSS would be highly desirable.
• A full driving
