Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar IT support role such as 1st/2nd Line or IT Support Technician.
  • Experience in supporting cloud-based applications like Azure/O365 is desirable.

Job description

IT Support Engineer

Location: Harrogate
Salary: Up to £33,000

Your new role

My client is currently recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced IT Systems / IT Support Engineer. You will be joining a company that values innovation, fosters teamwork, and encourages individual growth.

Responsibilities
  1. Build, maintain and retire IT systems within the Harrogate site (approx. 90 users, across 2 sites) to a high standard; this includes desktops, laptops, switches, printers.
  2. Support and train users in their use of all company systems.
  3. Minimise downtime of company systems.
  4. Work with lab staff to resolve laboratory equipment computer problems.
  5. Provide a comprehensive and timely support service to all users in the UK.
  6. Monitor and maintain tickets on global IT Helpdesk.
  7. Maintain the Harrogate site guide: document processes and input detail to SOP’s.
  8. Support the global IT team in the implementation of cyber security measures.
  9. Administer user accounts and mailboxes.
Experience needed

You will need experience in a similar IT support role such as 1st/2nd Line or IT Support Technician. Experience in supporting cloud-based applications such as Azure/O365 and Microsoft Endpoint Manager is also desirable. Ideally, you will have experience in Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy. Intune / Autopilot experience is advantageous.
