Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for an IT SUPPORT ENGINEER at NORTHALLERTON HEAD OFFICE on a 12 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT.

The main responsibilities of this role include providing comprehensive technical support for Oleon Ltd.'s IT infrastructure, applications, and user base at Northallerton and Goolesites. This involves delivering local IT support as part of a skilled team, ensuring high levels of availability, performance, and security. Support for the Goolesite is primarily remote, with occasional travel.

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Support IT systems at Northallerton and Goolesites, ensuring infrastructure availability.
  • Configure and deploy new hardware and software, including ongoing maintenance.
  • Provide Level 1-2 Service Desk support, assisting users and escalating issues as needed.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot problems.
  • Maintain system security according to policies.
  • Perform server monitoring and reporting to ensure reliability.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, liaising with third-party suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain support processes, manuals, and documentation.
  • Administer systems and applications, including Tropos ERP (training provided).
  • Conduct data control activities to support business growth.
  • Support IT projects aligned with business needs.

Qualifications & skills:

You have:

  • 2+ years of experience in IT support.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and fault-finding knowledge.
  • Good knowledge of Windows 10 & 11 OS.
  • Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting desktop environments.
