Overview

2nd Line IT Support Engineer - Azure Cloud | Colchester

Colchester (On-site) | Up to £40,000 | Permanent Role - Immediate Start

We're working with a well-established international business based just outside Colchester, seeking an experienced 2nd Line IT Support Engineer with strong Azure cloud expertise. This is a permanent position with an immediate start available.

You'll play a key role in supporting a global user base across both office and manufacturing environments, acting as a senior escalation point within a collaborative IT team. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver 2nd line support across desktop, infrastructure, and cloud environments
• Support and manage Azure services (Azure AD, virtual machines, storage, backup)
• Administer Microsoft 365, including Intune and Autopilot
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with hardware, software, and network systems
• Assist with ERP system support (Dynamics AX preferred)
• Work closely with colleagues across global sites to ensure smooth IT operations
• Support internal IT projects, upgrades, and automation initiatives
• Maintain documentation and ensure timely resolution of tickets

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a 2nd Line Support or similar technical role
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure cloud services
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and endpoint management tools
• Experience supporting ERP systems, ideally Dynamics AX
• Excellent troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, desktop, and cloud
• Confident communicator able to support users across multiple international sites
• Comfortable in both office and industrial environments
• Available to start immediately
