IT Support Engineer Job Opportunity

Are you an IT Support Engineer seeking a new challenge? We are looking for a candidate to join our client's small IT team based in Bolton, supporting 48 retail shops across the northwest.

The role involves providing support to internal Business Systems, handling incidents, queries, and requests at the head office. The primary focus will be supporting our existing EPOS system and retail stores, including staff training throughout the northwest.

The candidate must have practical knowledge of Microsoft SQL.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing face-to-face and remote support
  • Monitoring and maintaining the company's servers and network, including hardware and software
  • Installing and configuring various hardware, software, and applications
  • Managing and maintaining our existing EPOS software (training will be provided)
  • Proactively working to minimize future problems
Required Skills and Experience:

Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, Windows Server (2012, 2019), VMWare, Veeam, MobileIron (MDM), CCTV, switches, DNS, DHCP, VLAN; experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining desktops, laptops, and servers. Experience with cloud services (Office 365, Microsoft Azure) and ERP solutions is a plus. The role may evolve to meet company needs.

The ideal candidate must own a car with a clean driving licence and be willing to travel to retail outlets; a pool car will be available during the week.

Salary and Benefits:

£25,000 - £30,000 plus benefits including:
