IT Services and Support Engineer

?? Cambridge - Onsite, 5 Days a Week

?? 12-Month FTC (Inside IR35)

?? £150 - £200 per day

An established global technology company is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join its internal IT team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a structured support environment, enjoys variety in their day, and has a strong customer-first mindset.

Working onsite in Cambridge, you'll be supporting end users with a range of technical issues across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment. You'll also assist with hardware provisioning, asset tracking, and routine IT operations.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide 1st line support across hardware, software, and mobile devices
  • Set up and configure laptops, peripherals, and user accounts
  • Track and manage IT assets and support hardware logistics
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity and printing issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams on escalations and small-scale IT projects
  • Support occasional onsite events and offsite user needs

The Successful candidate should have the following skills:-

  • Proven experience supporting Windows 10/11 and macOS environments
  • Confident with hardware troubleshooting and end-user device support
  • Familiarity with mobile device management (iOS/Android)
  • Understanding of basic networking (TCP/IP)
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, MDM tools, and remote support platformsExcellent organisational and communication skills

This is a site-based role in Cambridge, with some occasional travel to other UK locations. You'll be part of a supportive, collaborative IT team that values reliability and initiative.
