Overview

Hayward Hawk is delighted to be working with a long-standing IT services provider that supports a diverse portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses across Northern Ireland.

You will take ownership of support tickets, deliver IT projects, and play a key role in helping businesses get the most out of their IT systems. The role also involves proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and relationship management with end-users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to clients across a wide range of environments.
  • Manage and resolve incidents and requests end-to-end via the internal service desk system.
  • Deliver small-to-medium IT projects such as migrations, upgrades, and rollouts.
  • Proactively monitor client systems to identify and prevent issues.
  • Build trusted relationships with end-users, ensuring a positive support experience.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in an IT support or service desk role.
  • IT-related qualification (or equivalent commercial experience).
  • Good working knowledge of:
    • Microsoft Windows desktop and server technologies.
    • Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
    • Networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.
Desirable
  • Experience using professional services automation or ticketing tools.
  • Familiarity with remote monitoring and management platforms.
  • Knowledge of endpoint management solutions or scripting (e.g. Intune, PowerShell).
  • Exposure to common business applications such as finance or ERP software.
