?? IT Support Analyst – Hybrid (South Manchester) Client: Tech-Driven, Cloud-Native Law Firm | Sector: Clinical Negligence
I’m working with a highly progressive, fully cloud-based law firm that’s in growth mode. With a culture rooted in trust, flexibility, and forward thinking, they’re now hiring their first dedicated IT Support Analyst to strengthen their internal tech function.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week onsite in South Manchester, ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, loves problem solving, and wants to grow alongside a dynamic, employee-owned firm that truly values its people.
?? The Role This is a wide-ranging and varied opportunity, sitting at the front line of the firm’s IT operations. You’ll work across support, onboarding, software configuration, and IT asset management, while also getting involved in innovation projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide 1st line IT support to users across all departments, including troubleshooting issues with Office 365, remote access, cloud tools, and internet connectivity
- Support core applications including Microsoft 365, ALB (Practice & Case Management System), Laserforms, and other third-party tools
- Investigate and resolve user issues – or implement practical workarounds
- Induct and onboard new starters with device set-up and system access
- Manage IT assets – laptops, phones, user accounts – across platforms like HMCTS, LexisNexis, and internal tools
- Liaise with cloud hosting providers (ETO Cloud), third-party vendors and software suppliers
- Contribute to system development – configuring templates, testing updates, and supporting new tech rollouts
- Support compliance projects, including Cyber Essentials accreditation
??
What We're Looking For We’re after someone with strong technical ability and even stronger people skills. You’ll be a great fit if you are:
- Experienced (2–3 years) in hands-on IT support, ideally in a fast-moving or professional services setting
- Comfortable with Active Directory, cloud infrastructure, and MS 365 admin
- Inquisitive – someone who figures things out, tests software, and enjoys learning new systems
- Able to prioritise and manage multiple support needs under pressure
- Confident speaking to internal users and external suppliers alike
- Familiar with legal tech (like ALB or similar CMS) – helpful, but not essential
- Career-minded – this is a firm where support staff have clear progression paths all the way to partner level
??
Why This Role is Special This isn’t just another support job – it’s a stepping stone into a business that’s:
- Employee-owned (transitioning from October 2024) – with all the benefits of shared success
- Flexible by default – with a 35-hour week and trust-based culture (school runs welcome!)
- Cloud-native and agile – no on-prem servers, no bureaucracy, just a team that moves fast
- Cash-positive – unlike many firms in the sector, they’re not running on overdrafts
- Tech-savvy and innovative – exploring AI, automation, and smart CRM systems to enhance legal services
??
The Package- £30,000 salary (depending on experience)
- Bonus potential up to 10%
- 5% firmwide based on profitability (first £3,500 tax free)
- Additional 5% based on stretch targets for support teams
- Pension, laptop, mobile phone
- Training & development – formal sessions twice a year + ongoing learning
- Regular social events and a genuinely supportive culture
??
Interview Process- Single interview + short, scenario-based test (nothing too technical – just practical, real-world thinking)
Immediate start preferred. Ideal for someone ready for the next step in their IT career within a firm that recognises, rewards and invests in its people.
