Job description

At Allied Vehicles we design, develop, and manufacture a wide range of specialist vehicles, including wheelchair accessible vehicles, taxis, and minibuses.

In addition to manufacturing vehicles, we also offer a range of aftersales services (onsite and mobile), including servicing, repairs and maintenance and we are Scotland’s largest independent parts distributor.

We are now recruiting for a Support Analyst to join our IT department.

You will provide operational support for all IT and Telecommunication systems within the company.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday on a rotational basis, changing every two weeks (7am – 3pm, 9am – 5pm and 10am – 6pm) and the salary is up to £33k per annum DOE.

The main duties of the role include:

  • Provision of both onsite, remote desktop and server support for client IT systems and networks
  • Installation, configuration and support of ICT issues with laptops, desktops, mobile devise and servers
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems through evaluation and provide solutions
  • Ensure the status of all tasks, escalation, documentation and servicedesk is up-to-date in line with the servicedesk policy
  • Maintain, set up and cable networks
  • Provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
  • Order IT equipment when required

To be effective in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience of working in a similar role, within an IT Support environment
  • The ability to troubleshoot a range of IT related issues and resolve user issues
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A positive can-do attitude and flexibility in taking on a broad range of IT responsibilities and tasks at short notice
  • A good understanding of IT trends and capabilities

Previous experience working in the Motor Trade would be advantageous but is not essential.
