Job title: IT Support Analyst.

Location: Hybrid working but with the expectation the candidate can travel to our Skelmersdale office.

Travel: Some travel may be required but this will be infrequent.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to the IT support team to ensure the resolution of all IT-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of IT support procedures and policies, ensuring they are updated and aligned with best practices.
  • Involvement with regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks, and recommend appropriate measures to address them.
  • To be regularly on-site to provide IT support for users, AV technical support.
  • Manage and monitor the organization's security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security incident and event management systems.
  • Device health monitoring and troubleshooting, update jobs and disk clean-ups using device management software.
  • Microsoft 365 administration including mailbox/user/group creation and maintenance.
  • Using Power BI/Power Automate & Power Apps to create/maintain reports/apps/tasks.
  • SharePoint administration including data migration and creation of sites.
  • Maintaining the asset register ensuring the IT team have a accurate information on all items in the inventory.


The Role

Responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and problem resolution to end-users within the company, ensuring timely and effective support for all IT-related issues. They will work closely with the IT team to ensure the efficient and effective use of technology resources. They will also get involved with the organization's information security program, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of MS 365 Suite and administration.
  • Ability to create technical documentation.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication, networking and relationship skills.
  • Display results orientation, flexibility, enthusiasm and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.


Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of information security best practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Asset Management knowledge.
  • IT Hardware/Device Maintenance & Monitoring.
  • Experienced in managing/administering SharePoint sites.
  • Proven experience in a similar IT support or help desk role.
