IT Support Engineer – £17.15 per hour – Rugby, Warwickshire
Location: Rugby, Warwickshire
Salary: £17.15 per hour
Temp Role: Could lead to perm for the right candidate
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:00–16:30; Friday 08:00–13:00
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our innovative and growing team. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality IT support across the business, working on a broad range of technologies including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Intune, and core infrastructure services.
This is a varied position where you will provide 1st, 2nd, and occasional 3rd line support, ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations and contributing to longer-term improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on support and administration across IT systems and applications
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory, Azure/Entra ID, and identity and access management
  • Support and configure Microsoft 365, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, and related services
  • Troubleshoot Windows Server, workstation, and mobile device issues
  • Maintain network infrastructure including DNS, switches, WiFi, and VPN
  • Deliver excellent customer service, clearly communicating solutions to non-technical users
  • Assist with patch management, performance monitoring, and scripting (e.g., PowerShell)
  • Help drive improvements in security, processes, and infrastructure
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Solid experience in IT support (1st/2nd line, ideally some 3rd line)
Proficiency with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Intune administration
Good working knowledge of networking fundamentals and infrastructure
Familiarity with Windows Server, Hyper-V, and cloud services (Azure)
Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive approach
Strong communication and documentation abilities
