Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure Operations, the successful candidate will work with multiple IT teams and key business areas. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented IT Supplier Manager to oversee IT vendor management, procurement activities, and IT asset lifecycle management. The role involves ensuring strong supplier performance, optimizing purchasing processes, and maintaining accurate IT asset records to support operational efficiency and strategic goals.

Responsibilities include:
  • Manage the full lifecycle of IT supplier relationships, including sourcing, selection, onboarding, contract negotiation, performance management, and renewals or terminations.
  • Oversee procurement of IT goods and services, ensuring alignment with budgets, compliance standards, and business needs.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, IT, Architecture, and Procurement teams to support purchasing decisions and streamline procurement processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, purchase orders, invoices, licensing agreements, and warranties.
  • Lead IT asset management efforts, including hardware and software inventory tracking, licensing compliance, and lifecycle management from acquisition to retirement.
  • Monitor supplier performance against SLAs, KPIs, and contractual terms; drive service improvements and resolve issues.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and vendor consolidation strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce expenditures.
  • Support risk management by ensuring supplier compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate regular supplier reviews and foster strong relationships to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about IT industry trends, pricing models, and vendor capabilities to improve purchasing and vendor strategies.
  • Manage budgets and procurement activities for projects.
  • Ensure adherence to IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices and support compliance with ISO20000 and ISO 27001 standards.
What We're Looking For...
  • Extensive experience in IT supplier/vendor management, procurement, or asset management.
  • Strong understanding of IT purchasing processes, licensing models, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with IT asset management systems and procurement platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, D365).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of compliance, cybersecurity, and risk management in supplier relationships.
  • Experience working in complex IT environments with SaaS, cloud services, networking, hardware, COTS, and in-house software.
  • Ability to adapt in dynamic, changing environments.
  • Pragmatic approach to processes, relationships, planning, and prioritization.
  • Proficiency with modern IT tools such as Office365, SharePoint, Monday.com, Confluence, Slack, Zoom, Teams, Excel.
  • Practical experience with ITSM best practices and ITIL framework.
