Job summary

Aramark UK is seeking a Solution Architect to shape our UK IT architecture, partnering with senior IT leaders to design scalable, secure solutions across infrastructure, data, POS and cloud. You will help build architecture standards and governance that guide technology decisions across the organisation.

The role offers hybrid working, involvement in major transformation programmes, and the chance to influence key technology choices within Aramark UK.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proven experience in Solution Architecture or senior technical design roles.
• Experience with TOGAF or Zachman frameworks is preferred.
• Experience across infrastructure, applications, data, and cloud.
• Knowledge of POS, Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, identity, endpoint management, Snowflake and Power BI.
• Strong cybersecurity, data protection and compliance knowledge (GDPR, PCI-DSS, Cyber Essentials+ and ISO27001).
• Retail, hospitality and EPOS technology experience is advantageous.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.

• Own and evolve the UK IT architecture landscape, defining current and future-state solutions across infrastructure, applications, data, POS and cloud.
• Develop and maintain architecture standards, principles and design patterns that enable scalable, sustainable solutions.
• Produce key architecture artefacts, including solution designs, ADRs, integration maps and data flows.
• Identify technical debt, assess risks and deliver prioritised remediation roadmaps.
• Provide architecture leadership across the IT change portfolio, from concept through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and evolve the UK IT architecture landscape, defining current and future-state solutions across infrastructure, applications, data, POS and cloud.
• Develop and maintain architecture standards, principles and design patterns that enable scalable, sustainable solutions.
• Produce key architecture artefacts, including solution designs, ADRs, integration maps and data flows.
• Identify technical debt, assess risks and deliver prioritised remediation roadmaps.
• Provide architecture leadership across the IT change portfolio, from concept through to delivery.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in Solution Architecture or senior technical design roles, ideally within retail, hospitality or multi-site environments.
• Strong understanding of architecture frameworks and best practices (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman).
• Experience designing solutions across infrastructure, applications, integrations, data and cloud.
• Knowledge of enterprise technologies including POS, Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, identity, endpoint management, Snowflake and Power BI.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity, data protection and compliance standards, including GDPR, PCI-DSS, Cyber Essentials+ and ISO27001.
• Experience assessing technical debt and developing remediation roadmaps.
• Retail, hospitality and EPOS technology experience is advantageous.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.
