Location: BS1, Bristol
Pay: £140 – £190 per day (depending on experience and whether or not you have QTS)
Days:3 days equivilant8:30am–3:30pm, until Christmas with likely continuation)
Start date: ASAP (allow 2–3 weeks for compliance clearance)

Got a knack for coding and a passion for sparking curiosity in the next generation of software developers? We’re looking for a T-Level Software Development Teacher to join a friendly and forward-thinking school in central Bristol. You’ll be guiding Level 3 Year 2 students through real-world projects, helping them turn ideas into fully functional apps, games, and websites.

If you love technology, teamwork, and seeing lightbulb moments when code finally works, this one’s for you.

This role is full-time and until December 19th, however the school have said roll-on is highly likely. In addition, once registered with us, you can continue to work and earn in our many other Bristol schools.

The Role

As an IT / Software Development Teacher, you’ll:

  • Teach and support students working towards their T-Level in Software Development (Level 3, Year 2)

  • Guide learners through hands-on projects, including a Web App Story (text-based adventure game with multiple outcomes!)

  • Help students build skills in Python, Flask, HTML, and Java

  • Provide structured feedback and coaching to develop problem-solving and logical thinking

  • Collaborate with colleagues to keep projects engaging and industry-relevant

The Candidate

Though Qualified Teachers are preferred, you don’t need QTS if you’ve got strong supply/cover teaching, mentoring, or training experience, as well as a background in IT or software development. What matters most is your enthusiasm for tech and your ability to make it click for others.

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

  • Confident teaching or supporting coding lessons (Python, Flask, HTML, Java)

  • Organised, proactive, and passionate about helping students succeed

  • Able to create an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere

  • Interested in T-Level teaching or mentoring future software developers

Whether you’re a qualified teacher, an experienced instructor, or a software developer with a flair for teaching, this could be your next step.

  • FREE Thrive training + CPD Academy access
  • Personal support from your own consultant
  • Flexible roles matched to your strengths and schedule
  • Referral rewards when you recommend a friend

Apply today and we’ll help you get classroom-ready.
