Job description

We are seeking a highly organised individual to oversee and optimise software license management across a large and complex software estate (1200+ application families). The role includes ensuring licensing compliance, managing license data accuracy, and identifying opportunities for simplification and optimisation.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in software asset management, strong interpersonal skills, and a process-driven approach. Experience dealing with large software vendors and complex licensing arrangements is desirable, as is experience with SLM/SAM Pro.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and implementation of Software License Management processes and procedures.
  • Lead the analysis of software entitlement and deployment data to ensure licensing accuracy.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives, including tail spend management.
  • Collaborate with internal software asset management teams and across the wider IT operations and security spaces.
  • Report compliance and spend across the software estate to IT stakeholders and the business.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models.
  • Experience in a similar role at a large organisation.
  • Extensive experience with Software Asset Management software and tools.
  • Ability to lead the oversight and impact assessment of vendor EULA/terms of use.
  • Experience working with global stakeholders.
  • Strong project management, planning, and organisational abilities.
