IT Site Support Lead – Starting Salary £53,000 plus annual bonus

Our business focused IT team in Belfast are seeking an experienced and proactive IT support Lead to oversee our frontline technical support operations. You will manage a team of specialists and champion continuous improvement in service quality. This pivotal role combines hands on problem solving with strategic leadership, ensuring seamless IT delivery of End User Compute services across the organisation.

Purpose of the Job

This role is responsible for the day-to-day management and governance of the Belfast Site Support team, ensuring that all IT Site Support in Belfast is delivered to the highest standards in a timely and cost-effective manner, driving technical excellence and team empowerment and overseeing our frontline technical support operations.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Lead and manage new business projects including requirements capture, costing estimates/proposals and implementation planning, acting as the project manager through the IT Investment review process.
  • Assist Senior IT Manager on scoping of new projects.
  • Provide a technical interface between the customer and any relevant 3rd parties during implementation / integration of new and existing IT Support solutions.
  • Establishing and maintaining metrics to ensure proactive monitoring of trends, thus ensuring SLAs are met and best practice gaps are identified.
  • Facilitate IT business representative forum, in service of change management for new IT initiatives and validation of quality of delivery of IT services to Belfast Business units.
  • Coordination and control of IT On-boarding process.
  • People management for team including contract staff.
  • Post holder may be required to undertake any other duties consistent with this role.
Essential Criteria
  • Degree qualified in a relevant field of study and 10 years practical experience in IT, including 4 years in a technical project management role.
  • Or Lesser qualified candidates with 12 years’ experience including 4 years in a technical project management role.
  • Proven strong customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong general cross business awareness.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and inter-personal skills.
  • IT generalist knowledge across the areas of Site Support, Infrastructure and Application Support.
