A rare opportunity has arisen to join the exciting Bupa Health Clinics Tech Support Team as an IT Service Owner. This role involves working in a predominantly SaaS environment, contributing to our plans for change and growth, and collaborating closely with Clinics colleagues to help us become the world’s most customer-centric healthcare company.
We are seeking an experienced IT professional with a strong background in Application Service Management, Service Optimization, Resilience, and Continuous Improvement.
How you’ll help us make health happen:
- Lead incident response, working with suppliers and communicating with end users for swift resolution and root cause analysis.
- Conduct regular service reviews with suppliers to ensure effective teamwork and reliable service delivery.
- Serve as an escalation point and key contact for all services in your portfolio.
- Support colleagues within a small team to maintain service coverage across the clinics portfolio.
- Ensure security and compliance of all products and services by collaborating with specialists.
- Collect feedback from the business on service performance and develop improvement plans.
- Support onboarding of new products and lead the introduction of new services.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities.
- Work closely with the Clinics Systems Support team and Service Desk to ensure seamless service delivery and collaborate on improvements.
- Act as a conduit and escalation point for incident and security management, including compliance activities for regulators like CQC.
- Manage the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), including population, service mapping, and understanding interdependencies.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing incident trends and opportunities.
- Execute daily operational routines to keep applications running effectively.
- Manage obsolescence by maintaining relevant registers and coordinating with relevant parties.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
- ITIL Practitioner certification or equivalent.
- Excellent problem-solving, judgment, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills.
- Cross-functional technical and business experience in dynamic environments.
- Ability to hold senior leaders accountable for decisions and initiatives.
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills.
- Adaptability and awareness of current technology trends.
- Systems administration and troubleshooting expertise.
- IT infrastructure support experience.
- Change management skills and experience managing change logs.
