3 Month Contract

We have an exciting opportunity for a First Line Support Engineer to serve as the initial point of contact for IT assistance. You'll be passionate about ensuring our team members receive timely, effective, and professional support for their technical needs. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency and enhancing the user experience. You'll join us at an exciting time, with a top leadership team on board and an ambitious five-year plan that will see us growing tenfold. What you'll be doing:

As a trusted partner to our end-users, you'll play a key role in ensuring seamless IT support across Checkatrade. You'll report to the Manager of IT Operations, providing essential first-line assistance with software and hardware. You'll also assist with audio/video equipment and all collaboration tools, including Slack, Zoom, and Google Meet. In addition, you'll help troubleshoot basic system and application issues related to various SaaS platforms. You'll also assist with the management of hardware and asset lifecycles, helping to maintain a well-organised inventory. This includes supporting the following:

  • Google Workspace

  • Okta and Azure

  • Gsuite and Office 365,

  • Apple MacBooks, Dell laptops and Chromebooks

What you'll bring

Success in this role requires more than just technical skills. You'll need to be highly self-sufficient and resourceful, able to figure things out independently with a strong desire to learn. You'll be a proactive problem solver with a strong sense of ownership, working with urgency and delivering solutions effectively. Exceptional customer focus is non-negotiable; your approach will ensure that the IT experience is smooth, professional, and efficient for all users, including C-suite executives

  • Proven experience in a 1st/2nd line IT support role.

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace & Okta is a plus.

  • Experience in fast-paced tech scale-ups or marketplace environments is desirable.

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

  • Service-oriented with excellent communication skills, comfortable working with all levels of an organization.

  • A proactive and eager-to-learn mindset.
