Job description

St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

We are looking to recruit a band 4, IT Service Desk Analyst.

The role involves supporting clinical and non-clinical users throughout the trust in their use of all IDT services, offering advice and support to users, managing and triaging IT Service desk phone calls, and escalating issues to management when necessary.

Main duties of the job

This position requires participation in a paid out of hours on call system.

We seek candidates with previous experience in a high-demand environment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well as part of a team. Previous experience with clinical information systems and remote support software is advantageous.

Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with personnel at all levels within all disciplines of the Trust.
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to clarify a problem, seek relevant information, detect trends, link cause and effect, and identify critical issues in complex situations.
  • Able to communicate technical issues to non-IT staff effectively.
  • Experience in a service delivery/outsourced environment or customer-centric environment.
  • Knowledge of ITIL.
Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma qualification in an IT-related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a demanding, quality-driven customer service environment.
  • MCSE/CCNA certification.
  • Experience with Clinical Information Systems.
