Think Specialist Recruitment are delighted to partner with a Watford-based company to recruit an IT Service Delivery Manager. The role is hybrid, with 3 days in the Watford office and 2 days from home, offering a salary of £55,000–£65,000 plus benefits.

The successful candidate will lead a small IT team, manage incidents and changes, and govern IT delivery across applications and services, ensuring SLAs and vendor performance meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 3–4, directing workload and career development
• Coordinate with Technical Governance Forum to promote best practices
• Act as IT's main operational contact for escalations and stakeholder relationships
• Communicate IT activity, incidents, changes and downtime clearly across the business
• Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, contracts, and service performance
• Own incident and problem management, coordinating RCA with teams and suppliers
• Oversee application and service management, including change control and disaster recovery
• Maintain understanding of technologies including .NET, SQL and Power Platform for architectural decisions
• Ensure governance, security, compliance and audits across services and apps
• Identify and deliver IT process, tech and service delivery improvements
• Contribute to IT budgeting and justify spend

Job description

Think Specialist Recruitment are delighted to be working with a fantastic company based in the Watford area, this well established company have an exciting opportunity for a IT Service Delivery Manager to join their team.

Salary - £55,000 - £65,000 plus great benefits

This will be a hybrid working position - 3 days in the Watford office and 2 from home

Some of the duties will include:

• Lead and develop a team of 3-4, providing day-to-day direction, workload management, performance support and career development
• Work with the Technical Governance Forum to promote best practice across development, coding standards, testing, documentation and technical delivery
• Act as the main operational point of contact between IT and the wider business, managing escalations, resolving queries and building strong stakeholder relationships
• Communicate IT activity, incidents, changes and planned downtime clearly and proactively across the business
• Manage relationships with IT vendors and third-party suppliers, ensuring SLAs, contracts and service performance are effectively managed
• Own business-facing incident and problem management, coordinating major incidents, root cause analysis and corrective actions with internal teams and suppliers
• Oversee application and service management, including ownership, monitoring, release management, change control, documentation and disaster recovery
• Maintain a working understanding of technologies including .NET, SQL and Microsoft Power Platform, working with the Technical Governance Forum on technical and architectural decisions
• Ensure IT governance, security, compliance and audit requirements are met across operational services and applications
• Identify and deliver continuous improvements to IT processes, technology and service delivery
• Contribute to IT budgeting and ensure spend is appropriately managed and justified

The suitable candidate:

• At least 3 years experience within a similar IT service delivery role
• Proven experience within managing and developing teams
• Previous experience within vendor and contract management
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external parties
• Exposure to .NET, SQL and Microsoft Power Platform
• Owning incident and problem management processes
• Must be happy to be office based 3 days a week within a commutable distance to Watford
