We are currently seeking an IT Senior Solutions Architect to join our team. This role will lead the development of comprehensive architectures tailored to establish an Engineering Asset Management capability using IBM Maximo.

Working collaboratively with the bids and projects teams, you will lead IT design development by capturing and defining customer, security, and operational requirements. Utilizing various architectural models, you will deliver solutions that optimize efficiency and security while meeting business objectives. The role requires experience within the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) discipline, with a focus on designing and deploying EAM solutions to manage complex and/or regulated assets.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

• Act as a Technical Design Authority, ensuring the design complies with Serco and MOD/Customer requirements.
• Lead the development of the IT Architecture by capturing customer requirements and assessing suitable solution components.
• Develop high-level use-cases demonstrating desired functionality and system interactions.
• Focus on Application Services and APIs, identifying current and future system interactions and data exchanges.
• Own or construct the technical architecture for specific bids or contracts, working with IT suppliers to ensure systems meet business requirements and are compliant.
• Understand the business/bid direction, imperatives, future challenges, and support these with appropriate IT architecture and principles.
• Lead solution/bid briefings through governance processes, ensuring stakeholder approval.
• Provide solution design assurance during bid/project transition to ensure implementation aligns with the target architecture.
• Engage with Infrastructure/Hosting Architects and DevSecOps teams to develop solution artifacts.

Qualifications and experience required:

• Experience designing and deploying solutions utilizing Asset Management software, preferably IBM Maximo Application Suite v8 or similar EAM products.
• Experience working on major Government/Ministry of Defence (MOD) contracts and bids, with knowledge of MOD standards such as JSPs and DCPP.
• Understanding of Applications Architecture and Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of API design and specification.
• Experience in developing testing and migration strategy artifacts.
• Degree in IT or related discipline, with understanding of modern IT infrastructure, applications, and Cloud technologies.
• Strong communication skills for conveying complex technical details to clients.
• Ability to identify and resolve technical issues through solution design.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build professional relationships.
• Knowledge of quality standards, legislation, and best practices.
• Must obtain SC Clearance to fulfill this role.
