Job DetailsJob DetailsThe IT Security Architect is responsible for designing, building, testing and implementing security solutions. The IT Security Architect will ensure all solutions meet business needs and expectations, ensuring that cultural change management is handled professionally and effectively. Additionally, a large aspect of the job is the on-going education of both Business and IT Personnel.
Key responsibilitiesWhat will this role involve?- Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments to routinely identify potential security threats.
- Develop and implement security architecture framework and strategic roadmap, balancing risk and importance with resource, business and IT requirements.
- Communicate security strategies and policies to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Lead and manage security projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organisational goals.
- Provide clear, documented, and succinct business requirements/designs to the infrastructure team for all required security-related features.
- Collaborate with Application team members to ensure secure software development practices.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches, conducting thorough investigations and implementing corrective actions.
- Effectively communicate current and emerging security threats pertinent to the medical device industry.
- Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on security best practices and policies. Also arrange continuing education for personnel to maintain a high level of security awareness.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
What we're looking for?- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity architecture, with a strong understanding of security principles and practices.
- Proficiency in security technologies and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing security projects and teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
