Job summary

Menzies is seeking an IT Security Analyst to join our IT Security Operation team in the UK, with locations in Woking (Surrey) or Manchester. You will respond to security alerts from our external SoC, monitor and investigate alerts, and work with the operations and ServiceDesk teams to resolve security-related issues.

The role requires a structured approach, professional curiosity, and the ability to present findings clearly to support policy-compliant conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Respond to security alerts from the external Security Operations Center (SoC) and monitor internal security platforms.
• Investigate alerts, identify causes, and propose improvements to configurations and settings to enhance security.
• Collaborate with Operations and ServiceDesk teams to resolve security-related issues raised by staff or system vulnerabilities.
• Investigate events and present findings concisely to support conclusions and drive corrective actions.
• Demonstrate confidence to challenge senior staff when tasks conflict with company policies and inform staff when policy violations are detected.

We have a great opportunity for an IT Security Analyst to join our team in either Woking (Surrey area) or Manchester office.

This is an opportunity to support the work of the IT Security Operation team, responding to security alerts from our external SoC, monitoring and investigating alerts from internal security platforms. Seeking improvements to configurations and settings to improve security. Working with the operations and ServiceDesk teams to resolve Security related issues such as staff reported issues and system reported vulnerabilities.

You would need to be organised, have a professional curiosity, be used to following processes and enforcing them. Alongside this, you would also need to be able to investigate events and to present findings in a concise and reasoned manner to support their conclusions.

You will need to have enough confidence to challenge more senior staff when they are requesting tasks that are contrary to company policies or to inform staff, of all grades, when activities are detected that are contrary to policies.
