Salary: £30,559 - £33,366
Working Arrangements: Core office hours are Mon to Thurs 8.30 to 5pm and Fri 8.30 to 4.30pm. Working hybrid, Westgate 3 days and working from home 2.

About The Post
We’re excited to be recruiting to the role of IT Purchasing Officer here in Barnsley, the place of possibilities.
This is why we’ve been awarded Council of the Year for 2023 by the Local and Government Chronicle (LGC) and The Municipal Journal (MJ).
Your Role
The role will include purchasing of IT hardware and software through a range of online systems, ensuring financial compliance and in line with local authority legislation.
You will support internal service areas of the wider council to manage the purchase of their IT products and services also assisting in monitoring and maintaining stakeholder relationships for mutually beneficial outcomes for the Council and our suppliers.
Some of the skills you will need include good problem solving, ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels of the organisation, and a high level of confidence and proficiency at using online resources.
