Job Title: IT Project Manager - Windows 11 & Collaboration Tools
Location: Sheffield (3 days/week onsite)
Duration: 6+ months
Rate: 500 GBP/day inside IR35
Job Description:
- Provide oversight of the programme(s)/project(s), including financial and outcome accountability, reporting to a Portfolio Manager within CTO.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders within IT, Global Businesses, and Finance.
- Work closely with Portfolio Managers and senior stakeholders to ensure project alignment with broader change portfolios and group strategies.
- Provide board-level updates on progress and lead multidisciplinary teams across regions and functions.
- Lead end-to-end project execution, including planning, governance, financials, resources, and change management.
- Conduct financial analysis and interpret data to inform business decisions.
- Identify and escalate budget-related risks, issues, and opportunities.
- Ensure effective handover of projects into Business-as-Usual operations for benefits realization.
- Implement Business Transformation Frameworks and instill good project disciplines within teams.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of relevant IT experience, with at least 5+ years in project and programme management.
- Expertise in Programme and Project Management methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile.
- Ability to influence stakeholders in a matrix environment and build partnerships across organizational levels.
- Proven experience engaging with senior executives and managing relationships.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
- Experience implementing large-scale organizational, procedural, technology, and people change programs.
- Ability to articulate complex issues clearly and simply, considering the global scope of the role.
- Strong background in managing and resolving technical blockers.
- Financial analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data into business insights.
- Experience delivering large change programs within a technology organization, including infrastructure projects.
- Leadership experience managing diverse, cross-functional teams globally.
- Experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prior experience with end-user services and infrastructure projects.
- Managed end-to-end projects valued around $5 million.
- Optional but beneficial technology exposure: Cloud Landing Zones (AWS, GCP, Azure, Ali), Microsoft 365 suite, hardware (Cisco, HP, Dell, IBM, Lenovo), and software tools (Ansible, JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, Confluence).
