Job summary

Balaena is seeking an IT Project Manager based in the UK with travel between our sites when needed. You will bring structure, pace and clarity to technology projects that make a real difference across our business.

This role focuses on engaging stakeholders, delivering within scope, and turning IT initiatives into measurable business value in a practical, sleeves-rolled-up environment. You will work with groups across Gibraltar, Padstow, Tyne, Birkenhead and Falmouth.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering IT projects in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
• Strong project management discipline (qualification or experience).
• Ability to bring structure to incomplete information and keep progress moving.
• Clear communication with the ability to influence across IT, operations and leadership.
• Resilient, organised and collaborative; capable of constructive challenge.

Responsibilities

• Leading IT projects from initiation to delivery, handover and closure.
• Defining scope, success measures, plans, budgets and resources.
• Working with IT colleagues, business stakeholders, suppliers and project teams to keep delivery joined up.
• Managing risks, issues, dependencies and change control.
• Providing clear reporting for sponsors and senior leaders.
