If you have a hands-on background in IT infrastructure installation—think large-scale structured cabling and fibre optic systems—and have since stepped into project management, this is your opportunity to lead complex, high-stakes projects across Energy, Police, and Critical Infrastructure.

Why This Role?

You won’t just be managing projects—you’ll be delivering mission-critical infrastructure where precision and reliability matter. Our clients operate in environments where delays have real-world consequences—so your work will be pivotal to their success.

  3. Network Security – Ensuring resilient, secure operations.

  5. Onsite Communications & Connectivity – Enabling seamless operations.

Your Role & Responsibilities

  1. Lead large industrial projects for top-tier Energy clients.
  2. Own project delivery—on time, on budget, and with risk managed.
  3. Balance multiple customer projects with conflicting priorities.
  4. Work with internal teams to allocate resources effectively.
  5. Maintain proactive and transparent communication with clients—good news or bad.
  6. Report on key project metrics—billing, profitability, and risks.
  7. Manage Health & Safety in potentially hazardous industrial locations.

What You’ll Need

  1. Full UK driving license (and ability to obtain Security Clearance - NPPV3 SC).
  2. Mostly remote with occasional work in West Yorkshire (travel covered).
  3. Willingness to work onsite at customer locations when needed.
  4. Flexibility for some evenings/weekends when projects demand.

Must-Have Skills

  1. Exceptional communication & leadership skills.
  2. Strong commercial awareness & financial acumen.
  3. Highly organised with excellent time management.
  4. Naturally proactive, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure.
  5. Experience managing high-value (£1M+) infrastructure projects.

Bonus Points For

  1. 5+ years managing large-scale projects in Energy/Utilities.
  2. Hands-on technical background in IT infrastructure.
  3. Strong understanding of Waterfall, Agile, and Prince2 methodologies.
  4. Expertise in MS Excel & MS Project for reporting & analysis.
