Deliver excellence and lead innovation as an IT Project Manager at Focus Group
Who we are

At Focus Group, we empower over 30,000 UK businesses with cutting-edge IT and telecoms solutions — and we’ve grown to over 1,200 employees nationwide since launching in 2003. As one of the UK’s fastest-growing technology providers and a newly minted $1bn tech unicorn, we’re driven by innovation, ambition, and brilliant people.

We’re now looking for a customer-focused and detail-driven IT Project Manager to join our SME Project Management team. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality technology projects that help our clients succeed, managing timelines, expectations, and communication with confidence.

What we’re looking for

You’re a confident project manager who thrives on structure, ownership, and creating a seamless customer experience. You’re organised, process-led, and skilled at balancing technical complexity with real-world delivery.

You’ll be:
Experienced in managing multiple IT projects simultaneously
A strong communicator who can build rapport with stakeholders at all levels
Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining documentation, reporting, and task tracking
Resilient under pressure, with strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills
A collaborative team player with a customer-first mindset

What’s in it for you?

Meaningful projects – Help businesses succeed by delivering solutions that matter
Supportive team – Join a collaborative, people-first department that shares knowledge and celebrates success
Professional development – Gain exposure to exciting projects and cross-functional teams
Great benefits – Enjoy a healthy work-life balance with holiday perks, socials, and wellbeing support
Growth potential – Contribute to a fast-growing business that values progression and performance

What will you do?

As IT Project Manager, you’ll take end-to-end ownership of projects within our SME delivery team. From coordinating kick-off meetings to ensuring accurate billing and documentation, you’ll ensure every project runs smoothly and exceeds expectations.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Reviewing and clarifying customer requirements from the sales team to ensure smooth project setup
  • Managing multiple projects from start to finish, ensuring all internal teams are aligned and deadlines are met
  • Providing regular communication to customers and stakeholders throughout project delivery
  • Tracking progress, monitoring forecasts, and ensuring timely completion
  • Gathering feedback from customers and engineers to identify and respond to changes in scope
  • Escalating issues internally or externally as needed to maintain project momentum
  • Creating and maintaining project documentation, training materials, and process guides
  • Finalising job costing and technical documentation to ensure timely invoicing and leasing
What you’ll need
  • Proven ability to manage multiple IT projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), adaptable to different audiences
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Professional, customer-focused approach to problem-solving and escalation handling
  • Demonstrated ability to follow process and maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge across teams
  • Commitment to results, targets, and delivering quality outcomes
Nice to have
  • A formal Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile) is desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience in an IT service delivery environment
