About the role

This opportunity is suitable for an experienced IT Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Lead ready for the next step in their career.

You will collaborate with various stakeholders, internal teams, and external suppliers to manage projects from business case to closure.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the overall IT project portfolio
  • Maintaining project templates
  • Supporting the development of project business cases and PID’s
  • Identifying resource requirements and timescales
  • Monitoring and reporting progress, deviations, risks, and opportunities
  • Managing budgets within approved spend

This role reports to the Risk & Assurance Director and will play a key part in keeping Technology high on the business agenda, influencing through participation in relevant steering groups, and ensuring IT aligns with business initiatives.

Office-based, working hours are 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Thursday, and 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Fridays.

About you

You should have strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or PRiSM. Experience leading IT and software projects, and confidence in engaging with technology companies and suppliers, is essential.

You will have successfully managed multiple projects simultaneously and be familiar with tools like MS Project, MS Visio, and Smartsheets. Experience with Azure and MS 365 is a plus.

The ideal candidate is solutions-oriented, passionate about delivery, and capable of interpreting project requirements to apply appropriate processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interacting with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
